So lately we have been experiencing alot of rain down here at the coast, and not just because of the hurricane. I feel like over the past month it has been raining every weekend. It finally stopped raining this past weekend which is great since we went to the beach for Bree's birthday. More rain is expected this weekend and I am just feeling over it. We are way past the month of April so the hopes of May flowers are not possible but there are still hopes of a rainbow. If you can't beat them, join them so I am joining these rainy days and bringing my rainbow.
I recently found this adorable kimono on Amazon and just fell in love! I wore this to a recent grocery shopping trip and got stopped at least 5 times in the store and complimented on it. It is THAT good!
It would work so well as a bathing suit coverup, over a tank top like I did, or even over a longer sleeve shirt as well in the fall. It is so flowy with cute slits on the side as well. I love how long it is so that it works well with leggings. I bought my prepregnancy size of a medium and it fits great, maybe even a little large so size down if you are in between sizes. It is so bright and colorful but still has a sheerness to it which makes it light enough for the hot weather (like what we have been experiencing in the coast. Ummmm hellloooo 100 degree weather. I'm done with you now).... If you like this kimono look but not into the rainbow look, well you are in luck. There are TONS of other colors and patterns available.
Normally I am wearing a dress, especially to work but on the weekends I keep it more casual and wear a pair of pants. Normally those are maternity style. At this point my belly needs the extra support from the panel. These jeans are old from my first pregnancy but I found a similar pair from Walmart. This tank is also a Walmart find. Their Time and Tru brand has some really great items, including comfortable pregnancy items for a great price! This tank is less than $6 and the jeans are less than $18. I don't want to spend alot of money on maternity clothes since I don't plan on wearing them after labor (at least not long after labor) and there is a great possibility I don't wear them anymore as we may be done having kids after this. Why spend alot of something I won't have too much time left to wear?
This bubble umbrella I have had since college. It is one of my favorites because it is soooo good with keeping me dry. I have never had problems with it breaking or getting blown by the wind. It really does a good job of keeping my hair dry which is the part I try the most to keep dry. I cannot find this pink one but I found a plain clear one on Amazon. The only downfall with the bubble umbrellas is that they do not fold up small like a regular umbrella so you can't carry it around in a bag. I normally keep it in my car or in a closet and take it out when I know I need it.
Hopefully wherever you are the weather is bringing you joy. I am waiting for some fall weather. I am not sure what fall down here looks like or feels like but any kind of reprieve from the extreme heat is very welcomed. All of it will be worth it during the winter thought, right? I know I won't miss the extreme cold and snow that Chicago used to bring me.
