Lately I have been less into following trends and more into looking for classic items. These are items that consistently fit into any wardrobe and not going out of style. My style is also very girly and feminine. Think florals, feminine silhouettes, and lots of pink. Although pink is not the only color I wear.
A cute tulle skirt fits these boxes perfectly. Tulle is one of those classic pieces. When I think of tulle as a classic piece I go back to the 1950s when women wore tulle petticoats under their skirts to add a bit of poof. When I think of tulle I think of girly, princess inspired prom and wedding dresses. When I think of tulle I think of ballerina. I think of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. She had more than one tulle skirt. It is a classic, super girly piece.
I am loving the blue of this H&M tulle skirt. It is light and airy but not see through. It has a lining in it. The tulle is soft and not at all itchy. It makes it easy to sit in, walk in, and go about your daily activities in.
I love putting a stripe shirt with just about everything. It is a great neutral but yet adds a bit of a statement to any outfit. Adding it to the tulle skirt helps bring a bit of casualness to the outfit. I have also recently paired the skirt with this JCrew rainbow shirt HERE.
Wearing a tulle skirt will always give me that pretty princess feel. It just makes me want to dance or float along the street. I always felt life would be a little happier and more joyful if we all learned to dance more.
I have posted great tulle options below. A great tulle skirt can come in various lengths, colors, details, and price points.
