My sneakers are by Reebok and no longer available. I found similar ones Here.
Lately I have been really loving the look of sneakers with a skirt of dress. There is something so laidback and sporty about it but yet can still be feminine and girly. I really haven't seen many "rules" about this pairing. I have seen sneakers be paired with tulle skirts in place of heels, with tights in place of boots, midi skirts, mini skirts, maxi skirts and everything in between. I have seen super formal outfits paired with sneakers and more sporty looks paired with a sneaker. They can actually be extremely versatile. The most important element seems to be confidence. You have to just have the confidence to feel comfortable in them. It can make an outfit be super comfortable.
I haven't been into the look until recently, mainly because I haven't had the right shoe. I have gym shoes that I use to work out in but those wouldn't look right. I actually only wear them to the gym and not on a regular basis. I ended up finding these Reebok's with some silver glitter on sale at my local Lord & Taylor for a GREAT price since they are closing. The minute I saw them I became inspired in all the ways I can make these work. I have linked similar ones above as I have not been able to find these exact ones anymore.
Similar dress I Long sleeve tee
I first was inspired by this dress. I picked this up at Target on clearance the beginning of spring so the dress is no longer available. It has that perfect feminine touch but yet super versatile and relaxed looking. I paired it with a long sleeve white tee to not only make it look a tad bit more sporty but also to help with the cold weather in the fall. I love to be able to bring my summer dresses into the fall so I can get as much use out of my pieces as possible. Basically, I like being as cost effective as possible! I feel so comfortable and covered in this pairing.
Similar Sweater I Similar Skirt
This striped skirt is from Target over the summer and not available but it is one of my go-to pieces. I wear it with absolutely everything and now I will have to pair it with these sneakers more often. The skirt has such a casual feel that just works well with a cute pair of sneakers. I paired it with this hunter green sweater for a great fall feel!
Jacket I Tee I Similar skirt
My last look is this utility look. This utility skirt I got from Loft several years ago but it is still so comfortable and continue to just love it. This utility jacket is still available at Target and super versatile piece. Utility pieces are a perfect match for sneakers because they already have a casual and laid back vibe. Sneakers will just fit into that casual look.
