So on Super Bowl weekend, I was on call for work. For those of you that don't know about me, I am a full time hospice social worker. I am on call 1 weekend every 5 weeks-ish. My role when on call is to provide support when there are issues that come up but most of my weekend calls are to meet with those patients and families that need to sign on to hospice care. When I am working I am not able to wear blue jeans, yoga pants or look anything but ready to work. On Super bowl Sunday, I wanted to be casual to watch the game but also wanted to look ready to go in case I got a call. I decided to wear a pair of candy colored pants and a cute sweater. The weather was actually nice that weekend in the Chicago area. Luckily, I didn't need to get sent out on Sunday.
I put this outfit on and then had to change Bree and immediately spotted these pants she ha in her drawer. They looked almost identical to mine! Yay, matching outfit. This adorable striped sweater was in her closet and there we are, mommy and me matching outfits. Plus, everything was candy colored and girly. Yea, it was Super Bowl but wanted to add my own girly touch to the night.
How sweet are these Keds X Rifle Paper sneakers? I am in love with the pretty pink color and the embroidered flowers are so intricate and is the prettiest and feminine detail. The minute I saw these, I thought of spring and wearing these with a cute spring skirt or dress! I love the pretty pastel colors. Everything is pure perfection!
My sweater was from Target and comes in white and pink. It is linked below but there are only a couple select sizes. I have added some other adorable options as well. The Loft sweater is perfect and is one of my favorites!
These jeans are just the prettiest! This color is so pretty and unique but a nice versatile color. It is blue like traditional blue jeans but does not look traditional at all. In the spring I will be pairing these with pretty, loose, romantic blouses. My jeans are from the Loft but I found them on clearance so they are no longer available, but I have linked other adorable pants in similar colors.
Bree's cardigan is adorable and from Target last year. The pretty colorful stripes is just too cute. I wish I had it in my size. Ok, yes I have a ton of colorful striped sweaters and cardigans, but does it really hurt to have one more? I think not! Adorable little mini-me cardigans are just too perfect. There are so many reasons why I love having a daughter, but one of the most fun things is having someone to shadow me, dress like me, and try to emulate me.
Colorful little girl clothes are always so perfect and fun. There are certain items that if I put them on, they just don't look good on me. No matter what kid puts on, they look adorable. Have you noticed that? Everything looks great on Bree. There isn't a bad color or shape. Some things may just not fit in that it is too big or too bad but nothing is unflattering as a kid. That is such a lucky place to be in.
Bree's pants are Osh Kosh B'Gosh and from Target about a year ago. But do not fear, I have found more several options! My love for this adorable color extends into Bree's wardrobe as well!
