The Savannah entrances never cease to amaze me. With some beautiful, grandiose doors, elegant staircases, and always a different color, there is always a perfect place for a photo op. The beautiful plants on this staircase is giving me all the fall feels. It is really too pretty to not just stop and take a picture.
A chambray dress is a great beginning of fall piece. Chambray is very popular in the summer due to it being a light and airy fabric and not thick like regular denim. It really is a great option to bring into the fall.
The beginning of fall, right around September to beginning of October can be very unpredictable. Down here in the south the weather is still very warm and often still feels like summer. Back up in the north in the Midwest I know the temps can vary. I remember being up in Chicago and there were times when it was still very warm and summer like and days when you really needed your sweater because it got cold. A chambray dress is great for either of those two conditions.
It is a great versatile piece. You can wear it with a cute pair of flats, a pair of sneakers, your favorite espadrilles, or even a pair of boots or booties. If it is cold, add a cute cardigan.
I love this one I found from Tuckernuck. The sleeves are a great length for the transition, the snaps add a cute little touch, and the ruffle neck is too darling. I paired it with my favorite ballet flats from Margaux to add a comfortable chicness. It is perfect for a walk around town or even wear it to work. It is considered a mini but it is an appropriate length for the office.
I have rounded up my favorite chambray dresses below.
