10/18/2018 0 Comments Fall and halloween decor on a budgetI love fall and Halloween. I think it is so fun to decorate for. I actually decorate for all the holidays. I will also be going all out for Xmas, but this is about fall...anyways I love decorating. I don't have nor want to spend alot on decorations yet every year I try to add a little bit more to my collection. I start picking things up new around this time because this is when stores are discounting their items to make room for the incoming influx of Xmas decor. I recently went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a few items for 40% off!! Wooo!! I just found this adorable maple garland that I had to have but was not sure what to do with it. After bringing it home I have several ideas so I will have to go back and get more. I decided to add a little extra flair to my kitchen window (plus hide the fact that our ceiling is a mess from my husband trying to rehab things). It is currently about $7 and such a beautiful way to add fall decor I also thought about putting it around some shelves. You can find the garland Here. How adorable is this sign??? I love it! I put it above my wine table and it is the perfect size. This adorable sign is only $5!!! I know I can't believe it either. You can find it through Target here. This glitter skull is old but it is one of my favorite Halloween decorations. I mean it is glitter!!! It was from Pottery Barn soooo many years ago, well before I even had an my own apartment but I had to have it. I am so glad I bought it because it is so pretty and every year it starts looking a bit more antiquated. That is how it was made so that the glitter hits the air and it starts changing colors a bit to look older. I just bought these pumpkins this year as a vase filler. They are only $5 but if you buy 2 you get a 3rd free. You can find the pumpkins from Target Here. This runner was also a new purchase from Hobby Lobby for 40% off. It has the look of lace. I added a couple hammy down metal pumpkins and some adorable little metal pumpkin buckets and put some tealights inside. The white pumpkins was from Imperfect Produce and they are just super cute. Another great way to save on fall decor, besides shopping on sales or end of season is at Goodwill. I have found TONS of stuff through Goodwill, but that is for another blog post. These adorable leaves in the vase were found at Goodwill. The yellow puff flowers I keep up all year. Goodwill has alot of new or used Halloween decor. Much of it is in great shape. I have quite a few Goodwills near my area so I will scout out multiple of them to see what I can find. They usually put the fall and Halloween decor front and center for the holiday. I believe the leaves were 99cents each. If you are in need of a costume, Goodwill also has tons of those as well. Usually when you buy a costume you only use it once and then what? They end up at Goodwill! I also have an orange bulb In my little lamp. It gives off the Perfect warm orange light that adds a special
ambiance. It is actually relaxing My husband said how much more it seemed like fall in the house with a simple switch of the bulb. I have used this same bulb for the past 3 years now without needing to replace it. They are relatively cheap at any hardware store. I hope this helped give you some inspiration. Happy decorating!!
