Fall is a time when I start going a little more muted in my color choices yet still like to play around with fun combinations. Yellow is a color I love throughout the year. Bright yellow reminds me of the sun for the summer. A pretty pastel yellow is great in the spring. A golden yellow is perfect for winter/Christmas time, and I love a traditional yellow for fall like that in candy corn or the color of the changing leaves. I want to share my favorite ways to pair yellow this season. My sweater was from Old Navy, comes in several colors. It has a great mock-neck and cutest blouson sleeve. I am wearing a Large in the pictures so that it fits over the baby bump but think it will still work well after pregnancy as I like the oversized look with most of my sweaters. Yellow/Green Old Navy Sweater I JCrew Factory Pants I 1901 Bow Loafers I Clutch is old from Aldo A nice muted green looks so nicely paired with yellow. There is something about the neutral green color that makes the yellow pop so nicely. There are so many ways you can add the green color. I paired mine with a pair of green eyelet pants from JCrew Factory I bought the beginning of the summer but it would look great with any pair of green pants or even a great pair of camo pants. I am in LOVE with these new loafers. They are from Nordstrom and have the cutest little bow. I have this thing with bows where if it has a bow I have to have it. Loafers are perfect fall shoes. Down here in the south it is still a bit hot so I am not yet in the boots mood. They are so versatile where they can be paired with a cute fall dress, pair of jeans, or pair of regular pants. Loafers are so classic and a fool-proof shoe. Yellow and Red/burgundy Old Navy Sweater I Similar Nordstrom felt hat I Target loafers I Old maternity jeans
My favorite combination right now with yellow is that with red or burgundy. There is just something about the bright on bright that everything just pops. Burgundy tends to be a bit darker so it is a nice back drop against the yellow. This hat is Halogen from Nordstrom but sold out. I found a similar one also from Nordstrom by BP. I am all about adding a pop of color to any outfit. Of course I had to add a loafer to my look. These loafers I found at Target. They look like the more expensive brands and add a great classic look to any outfit. I love that these look like the classic "school girl" loafers. I paired brown because it is another great color combo. Other Yellow combos Other great yellow combinations not really pictured that I LOVE is brown and yellow. Just like the picture above with the brown shoes and yellow sweater, pairing yellow with brown is a perfect fall look. Add brown shoes and bag. Add a brown felt hat. Brown pants or skirt with a yellow top are great ways to pair them together. Yellow and purple is another perfect combination. Dark purple and yellow is such a fun way to add alot of color. Yellow is such a fun color so go ahead and have fun with it!
