Flowers and Stripes

It can be very fun to play with patterns.  It is a way to get a bit daring with fashion.  A fun way to do this with with stripes and florals.  Stripes are starting to become, what I call, a fun neutral.  It is a an easier and fun way to get mixed with other patterns like animal prints, polka dots, other stripes, and florals.  

What I like to do to keep the florals and stripes to match nicely and not look too busy is by keeping things in the same color family.  Try to stick to similar tones and keep one print bold. I try to keep the colors in the same family.  The hues in my skirt are a pastel so I stuck with a pastely looking shirt.  In my outfit I used a darker, bolder stripe and the skirt is more subtle colors.  If you prefer a more bold look then by all means stick two bold prints together.  It will look great, trust me!  I am sharing with you my favorite striped shirts and floral skirts.
