Dainty cardigan look for a fall transition

Recently we took Aubrey to the library for a kids reading time.  It was the first time we have been in the Savannah Public LIbrary, and the first time Bree has actually been in a library at all.  I can honestly say I have not been in a library since graduate school.  It felt nice being in the library.  I remember how much I loved to read and wish I had more free time to do so.  This will have to be a goal I set for myself.  I hope this is something that can be instilled in my kids.  Bree currently does loves to read and loves to have us read to her.  

Bree had alot of fun at the children's time.  They were reading books, singing songs, and playing with a parachute.  It is a monthly event that they have that we intend on going again.  I have been inspired to sign up for a library card, encourage checking out books for myself and for Bree and get on a good reading habit.  

Recently I have been getting my transitional cardigans pulled out.  The thing about the beginning of fall down here in the south is that it still feels like summer.  It is still in the 80s and 90s and hot.  The thing about the south though is that even though it is hot outside it is cold inside.  When I go into the office at my work the a/c is turned up and the fans are all on and I feel like I am being frozen out.  Going in and out is hard because the heat hits me the minute I come outside but quite the shock when I go inside.  I have made cardigans my best clothing friend.  

I have really liked thinner and smaller cardigans to go over my summer dresses.  They are great when the straps are thinner and not a great professional choice.  They are great to transition from the inside to the outside comfortably.  They are great to transition into the fall when the weather is cooling but still pretty warm out.  

I found this super cute cardigan from Loft Outlet.  I love the dainty stitching on the bottom and it is great to fit even over the baby bump.  The short shrug length is perfect for dresses.  With it being cotton and only 3/4 sleeve, it is breathable and comfortable for the heat but still warm enough for any cooler temps.  

I paired this look with these adorable Jeffrey Campbell bow slides.  I just fell in love with the bow details.  They are currently on sale for $30 and come in this pretty mustard yellow color or a blush.  The yellow is a nice neutral yellow that works well with blues, browns, greens, pinks, or even reds.  The shoes were very comfortable, and well, I can't pass up anything with adorable bows. 

This floral straw bag was an Amazon find from the spring.  It is still one of my favorites as it is large enough to act as a tote but still acts as a cute handbag.  I love the flowers on the bag and the bow on the handle.  It is the cutest ever for spring and summer and only $23! It has proved to be very sturdy for the price and a great neutral bag that will work with just about anything.  It has a zipper and an inner pocket for the phone.
