Back to Basics: A white on white combination

Since yesterday I just shared a post about a black on black combination, I figured I would share the opposite neutral of a white on white combination.  It is one of my favorite combinations for the summer months although I know winter white combos are really starting to take off.  

There is something about the cleanness and crispness of white that brings so much class and chicness to it.  What else I really love about whites is that there are so many different shades.  Between true white, off white, or even ivory it is possible to find a shade that works well with your skin tone.  

I am just in love with this JCrew top.  The detail in the front.  It is slightly see through so either wear nude undergarments or a camisole.  It is going to be perfect in the fall to wear under a blazer and have that little bib detail popping out.  It will be great tucked into a pair of dress pants or jeans as well.  

I just got these denim shorts from Everlane, and, like everything at Everlane, are super comfortable and fits amazingly.  They come in many denim colors but I just really wanted a pair of white.  And to top it off, these Naturalizer loafers are the most comfortable shoes I have put on in a long time.  I will be wearing them well into fall!
