I recently found this adorable JCrew sweatshirt on sale with extra percent off and it looked like the kind of shirt that would be comfortable and be a fun layering piece. Boy, was I right! JCrew Sweatshirt I My button down was from Old Navy but sold out. I found a similar one at L.L. Bean I Refresh booties I Similar Loft Outlet jeans I Amazon cross body bag
One of my favorite parts about this sweatshirt is the adorable button neck. It is such a fun little detail. It can be worn buttoned up all the way to be a traditional turtleneck or buttoned down a bit to add some revealing extras. The sweatshirt itself is white with green stripes but the shirt comes in other colors including a navy stripe as well as a navy base with red stripes. All the colors are really nice. Because of the fun green stripe, I decided to pair it with a plaid button down. I love the little peek through of color that the button down provides. The length is not long enough to wear with leggings, unless you pair it with a tunic length button down. This is a great and chic winter weather look. The button down really makes it a bit more dressy. This is look is great to go do some brunch or maybe even on a casual date night. If you are one of the lucky ones that can wear jeans on a Friday (I envy you), this look would be perfect, minus the holes in the jeans. The sweatshirt alone is pretty casual so if you were to just wear it on its own, but it is still a great, comfortable, cute option. This is would be the kind of look I would use to run errands on the weekend. It is a great "grab some coffee and go grocery shopping" look. I love the versatility and ease of this top. In the winter I look mostly for comfort and warmth and this has both of that. It can sometimes be hard to feel put together when you are battling the arctic temps that we have been having in the Midwest. Honestly, it is hard to muster up the strength to even go outside let alone get out of my comfy sweats or PJs. If I must, then this top would be at the top of my list! Happy Shopping!
