H&M tee I Loft skirt (Similar here) I Cole Haan shoes (Similar here) I Ann Taylor sweater I Anthropologie bag (Similar here) I JCrew Hinge Bracelet I JCrew stone bracelet Lately I have been gravitating toward more of the classic pieces. I am less interested in buying items just because they are cheap or JUST because it is on sale. A sale is not bad. If it is something I want, something that really fits in my wardrobe then of course I would prefer to buy it on sale. What I am looking for when I shop are those items that will last. They are the ones that can fit into my wardrobe in so many ways, that will last from year to year rather than being just a trend, and even better if it can fit across seasons. One of those classic items that will always grab at my heart strings is a tweed skirt. If it comes with a matching tweed jacket then even better! You can thank style maven Coco Chanel for making the tweed suit be synonymous with class, luxury, and everything chic. It is because of this that tweed will never go out of style. The thing about tweed is that the range in a chock-full of different colors and hues. You can get them long, short, and even have all kinds of special added details like zippers or buttons. For me, I like to get ones that are versatile, classic, and always in style. I picked this one up at the Loft a couple years ago. The thing with tweed and with blue is that it comes back year after year so I have found other similar options such as this one HERE or this one HERE. There is this one HERE as well that is on clearance. Since tweed is such a classic it gives me major vintage vibes. That is why I felt it perfect to pair with my new collared tee I purchased. I am just in love with this tee! The collar is so adorable and adds just the right girly detail. It is perfect paired with a skirt but would be equally adorable with a pair of denim. Plus it is less than $15 so it is pretty much just perfect! A cute little cardigan sweater is the perfect little touch for those cooler evenings or for making it a bit more office friendly. This Ann Taylor cardigan is linen blend so lighter weight and a perfect summer option. So if you are looking for some great classic pieces, great options would be: 1. A tweed skirt 2. A simple tee 3. Simple cardigan 4. Bow shoes If you were to keep these items in your closet, you would have the beginning of a very classic and lasting wardrobe. Like this post? Read other similar posts here:
