7/1/2020 0 Comments THE LADYBOSSBLOGGER COURSE TAUGHT ME HOW TO CONTINUE MY BLOG PRESENCE WITHOUT SOCIAL MEDIAIt has been about two weeks since I finished the LadyBossBlogger course by Elaine Rau and I wanted to share with you a little about what I learned and what I started implementing. I figured if I am going to spend the time reading and reviewing the course, I might as well start implementing some of the information into my own practice, right? I mean it has worked for others. So here it is: 1. Emails, Emails, Emails LadyBossBlogger really accentuated something and that is the importance of your website. She makes it a point to ask you, if Instagram or social media went away today, would you still be able to sustain your blog or your business? Are people going to find you or see what it is you write? For me, it was a big NO! I rely on my social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) to draw in my traffic. I decided to do something different. I developed an email. I added a popup add so I can collect emails from the readers and traffic to my blog. I am working on incentives to get people to sign up for my newsletter. If Instagram failed tomorrow I would NOT be ok. If the LIKEtoKNOW.it app failed I would NOT be ok. 2. Up your presence I learned from LadyBossBlogger the importance of keeping your presence large. The larger your presence the greater. I learned that it behooves you to have a presence on as many platforms as possible. I am on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Bloglovin', and Pinterest, as well as the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and I, post to all of them. I link my website to all of them as well as my latest blog posts. I try to stay active on all of them to keep my presence going. I keep my profile picture the same and keep themes consistent. I have noticed a larger following across my platforms as well as an increased amount of traffic to my website. 3. What is my worth? One of my concerns with trying to attempt paid opportunities is not being sure how much to charge or what the right price is. Thanks to the LadyBossBlogger course I now know how much I am worth. I know the price to expect based on my following and engagement. 4. Resources Galore The resources alone are worth the course. LadyBossBlogger gives a plethora of great websites, information, templates that you are able to save and reference later. There are great websites you can sign up for to find those paid collaborations. 5. Trust is key This also goes along the lines of consistency but LadyBossBlogger says to post on a consistent basis. It means to post at a consistent time. This way your followers and readers will be able to expect a post from you on a consistent basis rather than haphazardly. You can establish trust and a relationship and keep that going. What's next? I feel like there is still so much left to learn. Luckily, there are many more LadyBossBlogger courses to take. You can take 40% off a course of your choice by using my promo code JenaBus.
Thank you to LadyBossBlogger and Elaine Rau for sponsoring this post.
