One of my most worn shoes in the colder weather is loafers. Since there is very rarely snow here and there are still the occasional warm days, I don’t wear boots too often. Loafers are what I reach for most. Starting in the fall and up until the spring, loafers are my shoe of choice 75% of the time.
Loafers are a classic shoe that will forever fit in your closet and wardrobe. You can see women in loafers from some of the best fashion moments. Look up Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly. You will see them in loafers. It is a standard French style to wear a pair of loafers. There is a reason. They are comfortable yet classically chic. Outside of a ballet flat, it is my favorite style of shoe.
Loafers are becoming less boring. You can get them in all kinds of colors and patterns with different kinds of buckle details. I have loafers in the basic colors of brown and black but also have ones in other colors and patterns like a pink pair, a yellow gingham print, or a snake print.
Most of the time I wear my Sam Edelman Lorraine loafers. They are the quintessential classic loafer but often have new colors or patterns added each season. They have lasted me for years with such great quality and are super comfortable. I pair them with dresses, jeans, skirts, dress pants. They always look so chic.
I have picked several other beautiful loafers in various price points that will be a great wardrobe pairing.
