Full disclosure: I rarely wear a jacket. I rarely have to at least not these days. The weather here in Savannah really varies. In the mornings it can be chilly, in the 30s or 40s but by the afternoon it can be in the 60s or 70s. There will even be some days in the upper 70s or 80s coming up. By the afternoon it can feel too warm for a jacket so I find it a waste.
I do usually layer with a sweater or blazer. It fits with my outfit so well for work but adds warmth. It is usually pretty cold in the office (we are currently in a very old building with bad circulation), so I am bundled for my time inside.
During these days, my outer layer can really make or break my outfit. I have been keeping interest in cute but classic outer layers and stocking up on great basics for the under layer. Cute tees or turtlenecks are a must. A basic sweater is another necessity especially if I plan on taking my outer layer off.
I have been eyeing this Talbot’s sweater jacket for a while and bought it while it was 50% off! It is an incredibly soft merino wool that I do not at all find itchy. I get very itchy and sensitive to most wool products and I do not feel that way with this jacket. It is so warm too!
I am in love with the length. It covers the booty so you can wear leggings with it or any kinds of pants. It would even look great over a basic sheath dress too. Add a cute belt around the waist for added cinching. It also has two pockets because who doesn’t love pockets!!
One of my favorite things outside all the other great things is the sweater is the colors. I am a lover for colors but also tend to love the simplicity of neutrals. This is a great accompaniment of both. It has alot of neutral colors but with a nice pop of pink and greens that really add a fun detail to your outfit.
